What a special evening we had celebrating the incredible work of our former Chairman, Lord Jack McConnell, on Thursday 2nd November at 29, Glasgow.

After 7 years Lord McConnell will be handing over the reins to Eddie Hawthorne, Chief Executive and Group Managing Director of Arnold Clark.

During his time as chair Jack has been a driving force for change and we are delighted that Cash for Kids is no longer 'just for Christmas' – the Charity now grants throughout the year ensuring children and young people are supported during all of the school holidays.

We were delighted that so many friends, beneficiaries and colleagues were able to join Jack and help him celebrate his time with Cash for Kids. Amongst our guests were Caroline and Duncan Spiers from Calums Cabin, North United Communities, The GK Experience and Royston Youth Action.

In the presentation to Jack by Sir Tom Hunter and Graham Bryce (Group Managing Director, Hits Radio Network) they both highlighted some of the key milestones he has achieved in his role as Chair.

We were also treated to fantastic performances by former Jim Diamond Award winners, Matthew Gibb and Ashleigh Burns.

Thank you Jack for all your hard work and dedication to making a difference in Glasgow and the West over the past 7 years, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you!
