1. Dave Oldbury - Star Wars Shrine

Self-acclaimed Star Wars super-fan Dave Oldbury transformed his semi-detached house in Southampton into the most amazing £150,000 shrine for his favourite movie franchise. 46 year old Oldbury spent year’s travelling around the world to collect memorabilia, including action figures, toys, cardboard cut outs, and autographs. He has even opened it up to public viewing for £35 per night.

2. Mr & Mrs Bold - Star Wars Wedding When Chris and Janice Bold from Canada decided to tie the knot, the big day could only be set on one day in their eyes….. May 4th. Why you may wonder? They are both super fans of Star Wars. With the bride dressed as Princess Leia, the groom dressed as a Stormtrooper and guests such as Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Jedi’s this really was a star studded event.

Surprisingly they aren’t the only ones; the Star Wars themed wedding has become very popular all over the globe. This couple decided to replace the wedding dance with a Star Wars themed one...

3.Stormtroopers take over a Bulgarian Football Match Star Wars super fans took over a football game in Bulgaria in the lead up to the new release when thousands of CSKA Sofia fans turned into Strormtroopers.

The super-fans held up a huge banner of Darth Vader before pulling out Stormtrooper masks to the Imperial March music playing in the background.

4. Gordon Deacon - Stormtrooper Send Off When Gordon Deacon from Cardiff sadly passed away at the beginning of 2015, his family and friends chose to give him the send-off of his dreams. Deacon who was 58, was hooked on Star Wars ever since he seen the first movie back in 1977. Six fully dressed Stormtroopers led the funeral procession to give Gordon the send-off he always wanted.

5. Lightsaber Fight Club

Best friends Josh Linden and Terry Birnbaum took their love of Star Wars to the next level this year when they set up a Lightsaber fight club. The fight club takes place every other Sunday in a USA karate studio with neon lit swords.

6. Paul Wadley - C3PO Costume Paul Wadley from Ashbourne is a self-acclaimed Star Wars super fan, and has proved it in the best possible way. In the lead up to the release for the new film, The Force Awakens, Wadley from Ashbourne spent thousands of pounds on creating his own C3PO costume. He even travels around with his very own R2D2 droid.

7. Superfan Camping A group of 150 Star Wars super fans camped outside the TLC Chinese Theatre in Hollywood for ten days to get the first glimpse of the brand new film. The group who have become “really close”, each wore a colour coded badge to tell other whether they are open to hearing the film’s spoilers.

8. Movie Marathon John Morgan, along with many other super fans, attended a Star Wars movie marathon that lasted 15 hours, 53 minutes. That’s a massive 953 minutes!

The marathon, which took place at the Regal Pinnacle Stadium in Knoxville, USA showed all six previous films as well as the brand new ‘The Force Awakens” in one sitting.

9. Star Wars Birthday Cake Potentially the best Star Wars themed cake we have ever seen. Sarah Besson, a baker from Manchester designed this AT-AT Walker gateau in appreciation for the sci-fi movie
