Boogie & Arlene had some VERY special guests this morning! Here on Clyde 1, Boogie & Arlene were joined by DJ Calvin Harris and singer Sam Smith. Both artists are jetsetting across the US at the moment, with Calvin joining us from Los Angeles and Sam from Chicago, where he is currently on tour. The pair have just dropped their new song 'Promises' which you can hear on Clyde 1 throughout the week and they revealed how the fantastic collab came about.

During the interview, Calvin admitted that the photo of himself with Sam Smith, he tagged as being in Ibiza, was actually a photo he had taken in Los Angeles! However, he was in Ibiza at the time, "that's the magic of the Internet," said the DJ after making the mistake.

Sam then revealed how their new collaboration came about with Sam, "Hitting up Calvin on Instagram". He went on to say that they, "Had an amazing day together writing the song".

During the interview, Calvin also revealed some bad news for his fans. He said he has no plans to tour soon. He already has regular shows in Las Vegas and Ibiza and says, "I've done tours before, don't get me wrong, but I mean, for me, I think my personal strength is in the studio, and it's what I enjoy the most."

After confirming his new collaboration earlier this week, Calvin Harris posted a photo of the Japanese inspired artwork, showing the song title to be 'Promises' Calvin Harris captioned the photo, 'CALVIN HARRIS // SAM SMITH // very excited about this one !!! @samsmithworld coming Friday presave link in bio'.

Then yesterday (Friday 17th August), Calvin released the lyric video for his new collaboration. You can watch it below and don't forget to tune into Clyde 1 to hear the full song.
