Chewbacca sends heart-warming letter to grieving child fan
He was meant to see the new film with his friend
Chewbacca actor – Peter Mayhew – has sent a letter comforting a young fan whose seven-year-old friend died.
The letter is written to a boy called Liam. The London-born actor wrote:
It finished with 'cheers, Peter 'Chewbacca' Mayhew.'
Sam’s older sister since posted on Reddit to thank everyone for their support and explained that he recently passed away in a tragic accident.

A fundraising page was set up to initially help Sam's family after the accident and has reached over $14,000.
