Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson hits back at online troll who compares her to an elephant

Marnie Simpson has taken to Twitter to publicly hit back an online troll who compared the Geordie Shore star to an elephant. The rude statement by a user on Twitter known as @markjennings201 posted a side by side photo of Marnie and an elephant with the caption, 'Its uncanny @marnie about time you laid off the milkshakes!???'. sic
However, the 26-year-old was keen to point out that she is a 'healthy size 12' and called the online troll 'disgusting'.
Marnie, who has just returned from holiday tweeted, 'Disgusting sorry I was trying to enjoy my holiday. I’m hardly an elephant I’m a healthy size 12! Grow up!'.
Her tweet has since received a lot of support from fans online with many saying they should 'ignore him' and telling her she 'looks great'. One fan even joked, 'If you’re an elephant I’m a whole herd 😂😂'.

Sadly Marnie isn't the only Geordie Shore star to have received negative comments over their weight this week! Earlier this month Chloe Ferry responded brilliantly to a Twitter troll who sent her a message saying, 'Sorry, you’ve got a fat bum darling'.
Chloe responded to this insult saying, 'Trust me DARLING it’s good to have a fat a--e 😉'.
Her response was liked on Twitter over 1000 times in just a few hours and received support from a number of her fans who tweeted messages such as,
'Why would you feel the need to tweet her that? She’s perfect 👌🏻 I wish I had a bum like her ✌🏻' and 'Your a--e isn't fat Chloe. Its absolutely perfect xxx'.

Last month Marnie announced she would be leaving the popular reality TV show after five years. Taking to Twitter Marnie explained she felt it was the time to 'move on'.
She wrote, 'For everyone keep asking I have in fact permanently left Geordie shore, it was just time to move on, it just wasn’t the same without everyone who left and I made the decision to leave, it was a wild 5 years and I’m really thankful I got to do it!' sic
Although she didn't state it in her tweet, Marnie's decision to leave the show could be something to do with her boyfriend, former star of The X Factor Casey Johnson.
The pair have been dating for a year and on the current series of Geordie Shore, which is airing on MTV every Tuesday, Marnie and Casey's relationship takes a strain during her time in the house.
Despite this, they continue to post super loved up photos together on their social media pages. And it looks like they are still very much together as earlier this week Marnie posted a photo of them looking very close with the caption, 'You’re a sexy badass mother** and your kisses make me weak. Casey'.
Although no official date for the 16th series of Geordie Shore has been announced, filming is now complete.
