Katy Perry reveals more details about her album 'Smile' and teases a 2021 tour
She can't wait to travel again
It's just days since Katy Perry dropped her new single 'Smile', and Boogie and Arlene caught up with her on Saturday morning to talk about everything that's going on at the moment.
During the interview, Katy revealed more details of her forthcoming album, and told us she couldn't wait to go on tour.
'Smile' (album) is due out in August, along with Katy's little girl, and although she admitted she will be taking a bit of time off after the birth, she can't wait to bring her new album to life, possibly in a tour next year.
"This year it's like make plans and god laughs!" Katy joked, "So, I think everybody is living a week at a time now and I'm doing the same, and I think, if I get to dream about what I want to do next year... yes, I want to bring this album to life."
She went on to say, "I want to come over and visit you guys, for sure."
Explaining about one of the songs on the album, 'Teary Eyes', Katy said it reminds her of being out and skinny, but admitted, "I'm not skinny and in a bikini and I'm not in a foreign place for a while!
"So this song helps me escape to that place and (you know) I'm just excited. I'd love to do some festivals, we'll see, there's a lot to do, but like I think we've learnt to let go of control this year and just surrender..."
