Lewis Capaldi gives thanks to Scottish fans after Edinburgh gigs

Lewis Capaldi is seriously the man of the moment right now. The 22-year-old, who is originally from Bathgate in West Lothian, has embarked on a tour to promote his debut album, 'Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent', released in May 2019 - and he's also supporting Ed Sheeran for his homecoming gigs in Roundhay Park, Leeds, and Framlingham Park, Suffolk.

Lewis, who is very proud of his Scottish heritage, performed two dates at Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th August to adoring crowds, who turned out to see him.

He's now taken to Instagram to help thank his fans for coming to see him, sharing two videos of the crowds singing his songs back to him and one photo showing the hoards of people who showed up.

Lewis wrote, 'two of the best nights of my entire life, biggest ever sold out shows back home in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 over 6,000 of us 2 nights in a row. no f---ing idea how this happened 😭🎉 thank u all!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 xox.' sic

Fans were over the moon about Lewis' hilarious yet heartfelt post, and it has received over 250,000 likes and over 7,000 comments in less than 24 hours since it was posted.

One wrote, 'You're amazing, I'm so proud of you,' as another added, 'You've done Scotland proud wee man,' whilst one other commented, 'Congrats, Lewis! Well done❤️.' The post also inspired fans from other areas to plead with Lewis to go and play in their areas.
