Married at First Sight couple Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner have announced they are expecting their first child exactly two years after meeting each other on the show.

Unbelievably the couple met for the first time on their wedding day on the American reality show back in 2014 and are now excited for ‘the next chapter’ of their lives as they prepare to welcome their new arrival in December.

In a recent interview Jamie said "We can't wait to start this new chapter of our lives. Being a mom has been my dream. In a way, it'll be just like our marriage: Parents at First Sight. We can't wait to lay eyes on this little miracle of ours!"

The couple documented their relationship in a spin-off show called Married at First Sight: The First Year where they admitted their relationship had been a ‘rollercoaster’.

Married at First Sight is a reality show which airs on America network FYI. Dubbed as a ‘scientific experiment’ a team of relationship experts chose six singletons and match them with their ideal partner on their wedding day.

Jamie and Doug are the first couple to come out of the show who have announced they are expecting a child.

A UK version of the show aired on Channel 4 in 2015.
