Celebrities including Ant and Dec, Cheryl, Olly Murs, Tom Fletcher, Caroline Flack and many others were joined by Prince Charles in London yesterday for an event to celebrate the young and inspirational people involved with The Prince's Trust.

And whilst a number of amazing people received awards for their services, the Prince of Wales really turned on his charm throughout the afternoon.

Acknowledging the great work by some of the Trust's celebrity ambassadors, Prince Charles teased Cheryl Tweedy as he praised her for her charity work.

Seemingly joking about her many surname changes, Prince Charles said, "I thought to myself some time ago ‘who’s Cheryl Tweedy?’ I suddenly realised I knew the Cheryl bit but missed out on the Tweedy."

He then added, “But I’m enormously grateful for her raising £1 million pounds. I can't keep up with all the changes of names that the companies do either. It was very good of her to want my Trust to join her in her Cheryl's Trust centre in Newcastle last month - she's a great Geordie and she makes such a difference in that part of the world."

Of course Cheryl is no stranger to changing her name, the former X Factor judge started her career as Cheryl Tweedy, before changing her name to Cheryl Cole when she married former England footballer Ashley Cole in 2006.

After just rocking the name Cheryl when the pair divorced, Cheryl later took on the name Fernandez-Versini when she tied the knot with French businessman Jean-Bernard in 2014. After their divorce finalised last year, Cheryl has now reverted back to her maiden name, Cheryl Tweedy.

So it's no surprise poor Prince Charles gets mixed up! 🙈

Last month, the 34-year-old returned to her hometown of Newcastle to open her Cheryl's Trust centre to help disadvantaged people in the region.

After a day of opening the centre and meeting fans, Cheryl took to her Instagram page to thank everybody for their support throughout.

Sharing a photo of herself inside of the centre, Cheryl wrote, 'Youth can do it! 🙌🏼 #Cherylstrust 🌹#Princestrust #Newcastle'. sic

Cheryl first teamed up with The Prince's Trust back in 2015, and she's since helped build a £2 million state of the art centre to support young and disadvantaged people in the North East of England.

After seeing her dream come to life, Cheryl wrote, '🌹 My state of the art centre with the Princes trust is finally officially open 😢 it has been years in the making and I am so excited to start helping change lives 🙏🏼 please feel free to call in if you feel like we could help.' sic
