J.K. Rowling is on an absolute theory-busting MISSION. In the last couple of months, she's confirmed that she included one scene in the book solely for the purpose of explaining how to pronounce Hermione AND that Dumbledore is Death in the Tale of Three Brothers.

Now, as the final trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has been released, the author has revealed that a spoiler about one of the characters from the Potter series has now been confirmed.

The film, which is the sequel to 2016 film Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them and will be released in November, centres around the character of Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne.

Newt was referred to in the original Potter books and films as an author of the Hogwarts school text book Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, and these films take place many years before Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

So when fans heard the name Nagini and saw a woman transform into a big ole snake in the trailer, they went NUTS.

For any non-Potter fans, Nagini is the name of Voldemort's pet snake who ended up being one of his Horcruxes and was valiantly killed by lovely Neville Longbottom with the sword of Gryffindor.

And to find out that she was, in fact, once a witch, is pretty MAJOR news for Potterheads all around the world.

This means that, in the world of Potter, Nagini is a Maledictus - defined on the Harry Potter wikia as being, 'a female individual who was a carrier of a blood curse that would eventually lead her to turn into a beast. The curse was carried from birth and was passed down from mother to daughter. The beast ultimately transformed into could vary based on the curse.'

The news was confirmed by none other than J.K. herself after fans went wild on Twitter, as she responded to a fan who tweeted, 'How long have you been holding that Nagini secret??' confirming that she'd thought it up whilst writing the original books.

Our minds are absolutely BLOWN. What's next, Rowling?!
