Ed Sheeran join's Arlene to talk about recovering from his bike injury

The wonderful Ed Sheeran joined Clyde 1's Arlene this morning to tell us more about his bike accident, his new single and then he ended the interview by writing a song for Arlene!
Following his bike accident Ed updated us on how his recovery is going. The 'Castle On The Hill' singer fell off his bike in London recently and broke both of his arms. He told us how his plaster has now been removed and replaced by an adjustable cast, meaning he now has to do physio exercises five times a day, but they hurt. Poor Ed!
While he has been enjoying his life as a 'one man show' Ed told Arlene how "it sucks" in situations like this, where he depends on every part of his body, "that's really showed me that I rely a lot on my limbs," he explained. Whilst he still enjoys being solo he said it might be interesting to have a band at some point.

Pop star James Blunt recently joined Ed for parts of his European tour so he gave us an insight into what James Blunt was like on tour.
He said, "James has settled down now with kids, but I know that back in the day he was more rock and roll than most rock and rock bands."

Ed is due to appear in The Simpsons soon and last week he told press which cartoon he would like to appear in next. Speaking to at the Q Awards he said,
"I'd love South Park to rip into me once. Just for them to take aim and fire."
Ed was at the Q Awards to pick up the award for Best Act in the World Today and he told us the award means a lot to him, "there's not that many awards that people care about, but this is one of them" he said, explaining that a Q Award was one of the first awards he had won.
