Lady Gaga has unveiled the elaborate stage design for her eagerly anticipated ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour.

The futuristic looking set up boasts transparent Perspex runway that Little Monsters can walk under, multiple performing areas and a pit encircling a very lucky handful of fans.

The main stage is a retro-futuristic white cave that’s flanked by a backdrop of the moon and stars.

Unveiling it on Twitter, Gaga wrote: “#LadyGagaTourStage The stage is lucite and you can just dance underneath the runways.”

The UK leg of the ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour kicks off in Birmingham on 15th October before taking in shows in Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester.

Gaga’s stage unveiling comes after she revealed that the extravagant production on 2009’s Monster Ball Tour left her bankrupt.

"I had three million dollars in the bank to my name and I threw it all in to make my stage,” she said. “So I was bankrupt during the show."

Gaga’s fortunes changed when Arthur Fogel offered her a lucrative global deal with promoters Live Nation.

She continued: "I remember he called me and he said, 'We want to do this'. And he got Live Nation to write me a $40 million cheque. And it changed my life and the life of my whole family."
