Mark Ronson revealed to Callum Gallacher that he was chasing Miley Cyrus for over four years before he got her to record a song with him.

"I'd been trying to get with Miley for about 4 years to make music" he told the evening show presenter "I saw her on TV and she was singing this song and let her Nashville country twang really come out on this performance and I was so mesmerized by it, and thought I'd really love to do something with her."
He never did manage to get in touch with her though, until four years later, when he sent her a demo of Nothing Breaks Like a Heart. She loved it so much that she arrived in the studio the following Tuesday!
