Strictly Come Dancing rumours have been heating up over the last few weeks, but the latest is very exciting and if it happens, it will be a show first. Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan is tipped to appear on the show alongside his Strictly girlfriend Dianne Buswell.

Reports are suggesting the couple, who met through Antony's friend Gemma Atkinson last year, will be partnered together making it the first time a real life couple have performed in the competition together.

A source close to the happy couple revealed bosses think their 'real-life chemistry' would be a massive hit with viewers.

Anthony, who plays the role of Pete Barton in Emmerdale, first met the professional dancer when he was supporting his former Emmerdale co-star Gemma Atkinson during last year's series.

After they were spotted looked very cosy at the Strictly Come Dancing wrap party, Anthony and Dianne went public with their romance in a series of videos on social media.

The happy couple have since posted a number of loved up photos to their Instagram accounts.

Let's hope the infamous Strictly curse doesn't hit!

Australian dancer Dianne first joined the cast Strictly Come Dancing last year, when she was partnered with Reverend Richard Coles. After failing to impress the viewers at home, the pair were the second couple eliminated from the show.

Check out which other famous faces are rumoured for the 2018 series:

Coleen Rooney

After welcoming her fourth child into the world in January, Coleen Rooney is reportedly 'in talks' with Strictly bosses to appear on the show.

In other Strictly Come Dancing news, after Brendan Cole's sacking earlier this year, judge Craig Revel Horwood recently revealed that nobody is safe.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Craig admitted 'everyone is replaceable'.

He said, "Everyone is replaceable, everyone. They could get someone else to replace me. They wouldn't be as good though! I usually know around June. So it will be a month and a half before I know if I'm doing the next series."

The 16th series of Strictly Come Dancing is set to return later in the year.

This year's contestants will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of past winners, including the likes of Ore Oduba, Abbey Clancey, Jay McGuiness and last year's winner Joe McFadden.
