The Britain's Got Talent live shows kicked off in style last night with an impressive performance from former winners Diversity, and whilst the show later went off air due to technical issues, viewers seemed happy with the final outcome.

Whilst Lost Voice Guy and D-Day Darlings made it into the live final on Sunday night, magician Maddox Dixon narrowly missed out, despite his impressive show featuring presenter Dec Donnelly.

Despite the majority of viewers being completely baffled at how he performed the illusion, other eagle-eyed fans took to Twitter to 'expose' Maddox's methods.

His performance involved Dec and a crew member laying down on the stage, as they balanced a lady in the air with their arms. As Maddox walked around, continuously engaging with the audience, Dec removed his arms, with the woman seemingly 'floating' in the air, with only one finger keeping her upright.

Despite leaving the judges baffled, some eagle-eyed viewers took to social media to reveal they think they know how he performed it...

Well, we still thought he was amazing!

Unfortunately for Maddox, the magician didn't make it into Sunday night's final. With Lost Voice Guy winning the public vote, Maddox and D-Day Darlings went head-to-head for the judges's votes.

Whilst Alesha Dixon voted for Maddox, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and head judge Simon Cowell all voted for the D-Day Darlings, landing them a place in the final.

In other Britain's Got Talent news, Dec Donnelly was praised by viewers after he presented the show alone for the first time in history.

As Ant McPartlin is taking time out from all TV duties, Dec did a wonderful job on his own. After the show aired, the Geordie presenter took to Twitter to thank fans for their lovely messges.

He wrote, 'Thanks for all your lovely messages tonight, it was quite an evening! Looking forward to spending the rest of the week with you all. See you tmrw. Nite! D #bgt' sic
