5 ‘Bucket List’ things you’ll actually want to do this summer

Ah, the great British summer. Whenever we see the sun, we’re fighting our way outside; after all, we need to savour every ray before they disappear for another 6 months…

If you’re on a mission to make more time to enjoy yourself this summer, we have some great ideas. Here are 5 additions for your summer bucket list!

1) Play ‘Messy Twister’

Source

This is a huge Pinterest trend at the moment – add paint to your Twister mat (we advise using something washable, not the leftover emulsion) to make the game a little bit more challenging.

Playing in the garden is a must for soft landings, and we don’t advise dressing the kids up in their new school uniforms...

2) Get adventurous with prosecco

Ah, prosecco: the nation’s favourite drink, appropriate for any occasion. From prosecco festivals, to sitting in the bath, we expect to be drinking it everywhere this summer.

Nevertheless, 2017’s prosecco is looking more sophisticated than ever: why not add chopped berries, sorbet, candy floss, or even stout (!) to mix it up a little. Adding fruit makes prosecco one of our five a day, right?

3) Boost your Insta game

Everyone knows your Instagram profile is at its peak in the summer: there are loads of challenges this summer that will help you get the most out of the perfect photo conditions.

Why not try the basics to get you started - #100happydays is a popular one, and #myweekof will let you choose exactly what you want to focus on. Or, if you want to try something more unique, why not try #strangerselfie (photos with strangers), #mustacheme (photos with mustaches), or #upsidedowneveryday (photos from Australia).

4) Master beer pong

Some people perform poetry, some people do magic tricks - but if you’re looking for a better party trick, why not become the beer pong expert? You will wow everyone with your extreme talent and extreme modesty.

Our top tips include using an overarm throw, aiming for a specific spot on the cup, and adopting any distraction techniques you can think of when it’s your opponent’s turn. Oh, and the more (responsible) drinks you have, the more relaxed you’ll be. This is our favourite kind of summer exercise.

5) Meet someone new - maybe through online dating?

All of the above – and loads of other things on your bucket list – are better in twos. So why not put yourself out there this summer?
