The 10 most popular gigs of 2016 in Glasgow have been revealed

This year venues in and around Glasgow have played host to some fantastic gigs from Beyoncé at Hampden Park to Adele at the SSE Hydro, but which were the most popular gigs of 2016?

A Ticketmaster survey asked 85 million fans around the world what their most popular live event was and according to the research Coldplay topped the list in Glasgow with Biffy Clyro in second place.

When it came to the national results Coldplay also appeared three times in the Top 10, in first, fifth and seventh places.

Ticketmaster have also released details for the most anticipated events of 2017 which unsurprisingly also includes Coldplay in second place, along with Take That and Robbie Williams in third and first places respectively.
