11 arrests at Old Firm match

Police confirm a number of reasons for the arrests.

Police Scotland can confirm 11 people have been arrested for a number of offences, such as alleged possession of alcohol within the stadium, alleged breach of the peace and alleged sectarian offences.

The arrests were made in and around the stadium.

Officers continue to conduct enquiries in respect of a number of items which were thrown at police officers during the fan march to the stadium and immediately after the game.

This type of behaviour will not be tolerated, police officers are in attendance at these games to protect the public and keep people safe.

Officers will review CCTV footage in an effort to identify and arrest those involved in such irresponsible behaviour
