Police investigating rape of 16 year-old girl in Rutherglen

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Rutherglen on Sunday night near to Cathkin Braes Country Park.
Officers were called to the area near to Fernbrae Avenue when they received reports of a serious sexual assault which happened around 10.25pm on Sunday 28th July.
An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with the attack on the teenage girl.
Officers say enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
