20-year-old man in serious condition after Castlemilk stabbing

Police are tracking a white van seen leaving the scene

Police in Glasgow are appealing for information following a serious assault in the Castlemilk area.

The incident took place between 11.15pm and 11.45pm on Thursday in Castlemilk Drive at the junction with Ardencraig Road.

A disturbance occurred and as a result a 20-year-old man was assaulted and suffered a puncture wound.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with what were described as serious injuries.

A white van was seen to drive towards the same man before making off along Ardencraig Road, Glasgow.

Detective Constable Craig Phee of Cathcart CID said: "We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen this disturbance or who may have seen a white van in the immediate area of this disturbance to get in touch.

“I also urge any motorists who were in the area and who may have dashcam footage which could assist with our enquiries into the incident to get in touch."
