A panoramic photo of revellers watching Oasis perform at Loch Lomond 25 years ago has been unearthed during a house clearance.

Charity, Glasgow the Caring City, says it stumbled upon it by chance "some time ago".

Founder Ross Galbraith said: “This amazing image was unearthed during what was a fairly routine house clearance.

“At the time it was unearthed, we were told that this was the first 360-degree photo taken at a live music concert.

"We’ve sat on it until now however the 25th anniversary seemed the right time to do something, to try to track down the photographer who took it and see if we can make some good of it."

Oasis performed in front of tens of thousands of music fans on 3-4 August 1996, with the gigs becoming some of the most iconic to have been held on Scottish soil.

Several images of music fans watching Oasis were uncovered during a "routine" house clearance.

The charity is trying to track down the photographer.

Now the charity, which helps children in crisis at home and abroad, hopes to make contact with the photographer who took the unusual image, and seek permission to reproduce and sell a limited edition run to benefit young people in need.

Ross said: "Having attended the Balloch gig 25 years ago, I knew it was pretty special – and looking at it I’m sure many people who were also there will be able to pick themselves out in the photo.

"Many of us have spent hours scanning the photo to find ourselves in the crowd!

“I believe there is at least one other version in existence so it may be one of a set which was released or sold. We’d love to – 25 years on – produce our own limited edition run to raise funds for the charity but could only do this with the photographer’s blessing. If that person is out there we’d love them to get in touch.”
