Man jumps to save his life in house blaze murder bid
Police are investigating a fire in Ayrshire last night

A man's surived a murder bid by leaping from the first floor of a burning house in Ayrshire.
The 33-year-old was woken from his sleep by flames and smoke at the property on Longbar Avenue, near Beith at 4.15am on Monday.
Police are treating it as attempted murder.
Detective Constable Fraser Murray said: "This fire was wilful and fortunately the man inside the flat was not injured, but he could easily have been.
"We would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident.
"In particular anyone who might have been driving and have dash-cam footage that might assist with our inquiries.
