Body found in search for missing Motherwell woman

Police say a body has been found in the search for a missing woman from Motherwell.
37-year-old Lisa Wotherspoon was last seen around 6am on Friday 29th September in the Vulcan Street area of the town.
A woman's body has since been found.
The discovery was made around 10:10am this morning near Riverside Walk in Motherwell.
A police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.10am on Friday, 6 October, 2023, the body of a woman was discovered near to Riverside Walk, Motherwell.
"The family of Lisa Wotherspoon has been informed.
"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
