Man and woman found dead 30 miles apart in suspected 'murder-suicide'

Police say they are not looking for anyone in connection with the death of Lynne Forde after the body of her partner was found a day later

A man and woman have been found dead in a suspected murder-suicide less than 24-hours apart.

Emergency services were called to Greenside Street in Coatbridge at 3.55pm on Sunday afternoon shortly before 4 where they found the body 35-year old Lynn Forde.

Officers then found the body of her partner, 36-year old Phil Osbourne at a house in Tillicoutry almost 24 hours later.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: 'Around 3.55pm on Sunday 28 October 2018, the body of a 35 year-old woman was found within a property in Greenside Street, Coatbridge.

'This death is being treated as suspicious and officers were following a positive line of enquiry.

'Around 2.50pm on Monday 29th October, a 36 year-old man was found dead within an address in Tillicoultry.

'His death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

'A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of the 35 year-old woman.'
