CCTV images released in Drumchapel assault investigation

Police Scotland are releasing an image of a man they believe may be able to help with their enquiries after a 32-year-old woman was seriously assaulted in Drumchapel earlier this month.

Police Scotland are releasing an image of a man they believe may be able to help with their enquiries after a 32-year-old woman was seriously assaulted in Drumchapel earlier this month.

The attack took place at around 00:30 on Tuesday 13 December in a flat in Southdeen Road.

Officers believe that the male shown in the image may have information that can help them with their investigation and would ask him or any members of the public who recognise him to come forward.

The man is described as having a Mediterranean appearance, possibly Turkish, and aged between 30 to 40 years old. He is described as being between 5ft 6 and 5ft 8 in height and as having a heavy build.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a waist length dark coloured coat, a polo shirt with red and white horizontal stripes and distinctive yellow and light brown shoes.

Detective Inspector Dougie McKinlay, based at London Road Police Office is appealing to anyone who can identify this man, or who may be able to assist with police enquiries, to contact officers based at London Road via 101.
