31-year-old motorcyclist dies in A82 crash near Tarbert

The road remains closed between Tarbet and Inveruglas as enquiries continue

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road crash on the A82 near Tarbet.

It happened around 4.15pm today, involving a motorbike and a lorry.

The motorcyclist – a 31-year-old man – was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

The road remains closed between Tarbet and Inveruglas, as enquiries continue.

Sergeant Hugh Niccolls, from Dumbarton Road Policing Unit, said:

“At this time, our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the deceased.

“I’d like to thank the public who stopped at the scene and have provided statements to officers. We continue to appeal for any further witnesses to come forward.

“If you have any information on this incident, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2388 of 20 April.”
