Can you help police after Clyde Expressway crash?

It happened just after 10am this morning, 4 April, and involved a grey Peugeot and a silver Volkswagen

It happened on the Clydeside Expressway near the A739.

Road Policing officers in Glasgow are appealing for information following a two-vehicle crash on the A814 Clydeside Expressway, at the junction with the A739.

The incident took place around 10.15am on Thursday, 4 April, 2024. It involved a grey Peugeot 208 and a silver Volkswagen Polo.

The male driver of the Polo has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries remain ongoing. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for assessment.

There were no serious injuries reported.

Sergeant Sean Dempsey, from the Govan Road Policing Unit, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their patience as officers responded to this incident and recovery was arranged for the vehicles.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen either of the cars prior to the crash, or may have dashcam footage from the nearby area, to please come forward, as you may be able to assist our enquiries.

“Please call police on 101, quoting incident 0918 of 4 April, 2024.”
