Fresh appeal following Drumchapel assault

There's an appeal for witnesses after a serious assault took place in Drumchapel in September.

A man was crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing on Kinfauns Drive in Drumchapel at around 7.48pm o Friday 27 September when he was grabbed and forced to the ground where his head was stamped on.

The 43-year old received a cut to his head from the attack.

Detective Constable Craig Martin at Drumchapel CID said: "It appears that the victim left a nearby betting shop with the man we want to trace for this assault, shortly before the assault took place. The man we want to trace is described as being male, white, in his 20s, short dark hair, slim build, and was wearing a black jacket, grey trousers and had a black back pack with him.

"We also was to speak to the occupants of a silver coloured Ford Focus which was parked near to the pedestrian crossing where this assault took place. Anyone who can help should call us on the 101 number, quoting the reference number 3670 27 September 2019."
