Fire on HMS Queen Elizabeth on the River Clyde

There are no reports of any injuries.

A small fire broke out on HMS Queen Elizabeth on the River Clyde yesterday.

The aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth is no on its way to Rosyth in Scotland so any necessary repairs can be carried out on her starboard propeller shaft coupling.

There are no reports of any injuries.

A spokesperson for the Royal Navy said:“A minor, isolated fire on HMS Queen Elizabeth was quickly brought under control and extinguished.”
