A Paisley supermarket car park was in lock down last night after a fuel tank leak in it's petrol station.

Clyde News reporter Natalie Crawford was there as 4 fire engines were called to ASDA Linwood after the fuel tank of a car, taken to the station to be filled up, burst at around 7pm.

They were on the scene for several hours while the area was secured and tests carried out.

The vehicle's thought to be a Vauxhaul Zafira, models of which were recalled in May last year because of a fire risk.

The driver was uninjured.

Customers were turned away from the store as while the investigation was carried out and announcements were made reminding people not to smoke in the area.
