Man seriously injured following attack outside Glasgow Central

British Transport Police say a 21 year old man has been charged with attempted murder after the incident that happened just before 8pm.

British Transport Police say a 21 year old man has been charged with attempted murder after a lockdown outside Glasgow Central station on Thursday night.

A man being treated in hospital for serious injuries after the incident that happened just before 8pm.

A spokersperson says:

“British Transport Police received a report of an assault outside Glasgow Central station at 7.53pm on Thursday 16 December. Paramedics also attended, and a man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition."

"A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at court on Monday 20 December."

"Two men were also arrested on suspicion of serious assault and taken to police custody."

"Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and a cordon remains in place while officers assess the scene."
