A man is to stand trial accused of rape in a school classroom.

Zineelabibine Abbood, 20, is accused of carrying out the sex attack on a female on November 29 2019.

It is said to have occurred at a secondary school in Glasgow.

The rape accusation includes claims Abbood grabbed the female, bit her and inappropriately touched her in a classroom there.

Abbood faces a separate charge of coercing the same person and others to look at a "sexual image" and also communicate indecently with them.

This is said to have been done "without any reasonable belief that they were consenting".

This accusation spans between July and October 2018.

The case called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow where Abbood's legal team pled not guilty on his behalf.

A trial was fixed for April 2024.

Abbood, of Riddrie, Glasgow, remains on bail meantime.
