A Glasgow nail technician has being given a taste of the high life after impressing a VIP client during the summer festival season.

30 year-old Gemma McLeod, who runs OMG Nails on Hope Street, was asked to do a set for Lauryn Hill before last months Playground festival in Roukenglen Park.

The request came in from the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow who asked her if she was available to help out with a VIP client.

The 'Doo Wop' singer was so impressed she contacted Gemma to ask her to do them again.

Now, she's been flown down south and put up in a hotel to do her nails again.

Gemma said: "When I got there I felt like a bit of a celeb at times - it was just crazy to be fair.

"I just couldnt believe what was actually happening, I was being flown down to do a set of nails - it was amazing.

"Looking at her being in Sister Act Two and major songs like Killing Me Softly are such amazing songs.

"That didnt really make me nervous at all, I just had to keep in my mind that she is another client it was another set of nails it's really just what I do every day so I just kept it in my mind at all times really.

"I did always dream of jet-setting around doing famous peoples nails - it is literally all I've wanted to do and now I actually feel like I've had a taste of it and it's amazing.

"Opportunities like this actually dont come about like this every day.

"I didn't actually know who the VIP client was at the time but i just said of course I'll be there.

"I just think that no matter who the vip client was, I wanted to do it and I thought it was just such a great opportunity that I couldn't turn it down no matter who it was."
