Scotland's Justice Secretary says scenes outside Ibrox as Rangers supporters threw a party in anticipation of winning the Scottish Premiership title are 'unforgivable' and fans could be facing retrospective action.
It's after fans gathered outside the ground before and after their 3-nil victory over St Mirren.
If Celtic fail to win against Dundee United today the title win will be confirmed.
No arrests were made on the day but Humza Yousaf told Clyde 1 supporters could face retrospective action from police:
"It's not uncommon for action to be taken as a follow-up and that's entirely up to Police Scotland to do."
"Simply unforgivable" scenes
"I'm certainly frustrated because it should not be up to Police Scotland to take enforcement action. People should know by now - must know - that the stay at home message applies and that simply is unforgivable.
"Police have been putting themselves at risk over the last year day in, day out, to keep us safe, and they should not have to be in a situation which can be completely avoidable.
The Justice Secretary is urging fans to wait for a more appprioriate time to celebrate.
"When things return to normal I'm sure there will be an almighty party of all parties to celebrate what is likely to be a quite historic title victory, but until that moment you must respect the rules because you're not only putting you own life at risk but also the community's lives at risk, too.
Euros put at risk
With continued uncertainty about whether Scotland will host Euroe 2020 games this summer he's warning the scenes could put that at risk.
"UEFA are watching. They want a safe tournament and this could really put that tournament coming to Scotland into jeopardy and we just do not want that."
Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland said: "About 10am today... a large number of supporters gathered outside Ibrox Stadium and a number of pyrotechnic devices were set off.
"I would remind supporters that in line with current Scottish Government coronavirus guidelines, all gatherings are currently prohibited and we would urge members of the public to comply with these restrictions.
"Our priority is public safety and an appropriate policing plan was in place and officers engaged with those present to explain and encourage compliance with restrictions.''
