Iconic TS Queen Mary to set sail along River Clyde again from 2024
The steam ship was built in Dumbarton in 1933 and carried 13,000 passengers every week in her heyday.

The iconic TS Queen Mary will set sail along the River Clyde once again from the summer of 2024 offering luxury cruises.
It is currently undergoing a multi-million pound renovation at Pacific Quay in Govan.
Iain Sim, Chairman of the Friends of Queen Mary, told Clyde 1: "When she came back to Glasgow in 2016 we welcomed 500 young people on board.
"They were able to learn new skills by using the Queen Mary as an experiential platform for learning.
"But she can do so much more for so many people people if she can set sail again under her own power."
Earlier, Princess Anne visited the vessel three years to the day since she became Royal Patron of the ship.

Iain added: "It is entirely fitting that this announcement should be made by HRH The Princess Royal given the strong family connection TS Queen Mary has - not just to her great grandmother Queen Mary after whom the ship is named - but to the wider Royal Family.
“When Her Royal Highness became Royal Patron of the ship three years ago to the day it re-established that important Royal link.
“TS Queen Mary also has a special place in the hearts and minds of those in Britain and beyond who recall this iconic ship and its unrivalled place in the life of the River Clyde."
Originally, it was planned for the TS Queen Mary would be docked permanently at Pacific Quay next to Glasgow Science Centre.
However, it will take to the Clyde once again to support the post-pandemic recovery and boost the tourism sector in coast resorts such as Rothesay and Dunoon.
Peter Breslin from Marine Projects Scotland said: "It's important to preserve history and recognise what this ship has done for the passengers who have sailed on her.
"She will never compete with the Waverley for the same passenger routes."
