LISTEN: 'Miracle' Ben home for Christmas after being struck by two cars

Clyde News is hearing from a 13-year-old boy who is home for Christmas after fighting for life in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital earlier this year.

Ben MacGregor, from Cardonald, was hit by two cars in October, but is now on the road to recovery.

He broke legs, pelvis, fractured seven ribs, his neck and skull after the accident on Dumbarton Road in Scotstoun on the 14th of October.

The accident happened at 2.40pm between Methil Street and Scotstoun Street, causing the whole area to be cordoned off.

Mum Karen says she feared the worst when she learned how badly her son was injured and honestly thought he’d be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

We’ve also been talking to Ed Higgins who both Ben and Karen say they owe for saving him. Ed cradled Ben at the roadside before the ambulance arrived. You can hear their story here:
