'Nazi salute' pug owner fined £800

A Coatbridge man who filmed a pug giving Nazi salutes and posted the footage online has been fined £800 at Airdrie Sheriff Court.
30 year old Mark Meechan recorded his partner's pet responding to statements such as "Sieg Heil'' by raising its paw, then posted the footage on YouTube.
Meechan denied any wrongdoing but was convicted at the same court last month of committing a crime under the Communications Act which was aggravated by religious prejudice
