Noel Gallagher paid poignant tribute to Prince at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro last night (21st April).

Hours after news of Prince’s untimely death broke yesterday evening, Noel blasted out the Prince anthem ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ through the venue’s soundsystem.

During the show’s encore, an image of Prince was projected onto the backdrop and the stage turned purple as Noel dedicated the Oasis classic ‘Live Forever’ to the late singer.

Noel told the 13,000 capacity crowd: "So, I was in a band once. We had an album called Standing on the Shoulders of Giants and one of those giants was Prince.

"So you're going to help me pay tribute to the great man and help me do Live Forever."

Clyde Rocks breakfast presenter Gavin Pearson caught up with Noel backstage at The SSE Arena last night where they talked music, football and so much more.
