Young girl attacked in East Kilbride

Officers are investigating after a young girl was assaulted in East Kilbride last month.

The incident is believed to have taken place on Wednesday April 24 and was reported a few days later.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

It is understood that a male member of the public intervened and officers are appealing for him or anyone with further information to come forward.

Constable Andrew McLeod, from East Kilbride Police Station, said: “If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0792 of 29 April, 2024.”
