Man seriously injured in Springburn attack

Police are urging anyone with any information to come forward

An investigation is underway after a serious assault in Springburn. A 48-year-old man sustained a serious back injury and was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the attack on a footpath on Cowlairs Road at around 1pm yesterday.

Police said that extensive enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.

Detective Constable Katrina Keogh said: "A man has sustained a serious injury and it is imperative we trace whoever is responsible.

"I am appealing for anyone with information that may help our investigation to come forward.

"I am also keen to speak with anyone who witnessed this assault or has dash-cam footage that may assist us."
