Police issue appeal after 'wilful' van fire in Coatbridge

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after 'wilful' fire-raising in Coatbridge.

A van was set alight on High Burnside Court at around 12.05am on Friday, April 22.

Officers describe the suspect as being white and of average build.

He was wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and grey beanie hat and light coloured trainers.

Detective Constable Craig McLean, from Coatbridge Police Office, said: "The suspect runs along High Burnside Avenue towards Burnside Walk, and turns right towards Kirkwood Street, before going out of sight.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who has CCTV footage or dash-cam footage from the area to get in touch."
