Police hunt attacker after broad daylight attack in Alexandria park

The 32-year-old victim was left with serious injuries after the assault on Friday

A man’s seriously injured after a brutal attack in broad daylight in a West Dunbartonshire park.

The 32-year-old was attacked in Christie Park in Alexandria around 12.25 yesterday afternoon.

The assailant made off in an unknown direction. He is described as white and around 5ft 11ins. He was wearing a grey top with a hood.

The victim was rushed to the Royal Alexandria Hospital for treatment. Officers are appealing for information.

Detective Constable Jack Muir, of Clydebank CID, said: Our enquiries are ongoing to trace this man and I am asking anyone who saw him or knows where he might be to get in touch.

“This assault happened when the park was likely busy so if you were in the area and can help with our investigation then please make contact with us.”
