Protestors have thrown soup over a statue on George Square in Glasgow.

It's part of a number of demonstrations across Scotland because they're unhappy with the rising price of food.

Two people arrived at 10.45 with 4 fire extinguishers filled with soup and emptied them onto the statues of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert.

Noah Crane from the group This is Rigged said: “I’m taking action because eating is a fundamental human right that, right now, is being neglected for the sake of a few people making a lot of money.

"Just like it was in the past, and just like it will be in the future unless we break the cycle. It is crucial that we take action now to make positive change.”
