Renewed appeal to trace man missing from Lanarkshire

The fifty-five-year-old male has been missing from Lanarkshire since May last year.

Police are again asking the public to share any information which might help them find James Clacher, 55, who was reported missing from the Arrochar area on Tuesday 31st May 2022.

James was last spotted in the Airdrie area around 4pm on Monday 30th May 2022.

He is described as 5ft 6in tall, of athletic build and with a shaved head.

He was wearing a dark hooded jacket, t-shirt, baseball cap and boots, with khaki-coloured trousers.

Inspector Alex Clark said: “James has now been missing for over a year. Despite extensive police enquiries and searches by officers and our partners, he remains missing,”

James was last seen in the Arrochar area

James’ car was found at the Loch Long car park in Arrochar in Argyle on Tuesday 31st May 2022 when he was then reported as a ‘missing person’ to Police Scotland.

Members of the public are advised not to approach Mr Clacher should they see him, but instead call the police if they have anything to report.

All new information submitted to Police Scotland will continue to be investigated in full.
