A man is to stand trial charged with attacking a man after a republican march.

Christopher Reddin faced the accusation at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

It is claimed the 34 year-old assaulted Leslie Auld in the city's London Road on September 7th.

Prosecutors allege Reddin punched him on the head in an offence said to have been aggravated by religious prejudice.

Reddin, of Bellshill, Lanarkshire, pled not guilty to the charge.

Sheriff Michael Anderson set a trial for January next year.

Reddin was granted bail meantime.
