The former World Champion is donating a rare boxing robe to help 4-year-old Calum Rae access life-saving cancer treatment
Former world boxing champion, Ricky Burns, has revealed he will donate a precious memento from his career to an auction hoping to get a 4-year-old boy live-saving cancer treatment.
Burns, who was a world champion at super-featherweight, lightweight and light-welterweight, will be donating his only remaining boxing robe to help heartbroken parents from Troon, South Ayrshire.
The Rae of Sunshine campaign has been launched by Andy and Victoria Rae after their son, Calum, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Bid to raise a quarter of a million pounds
They are now crowdfunding in an attempt to raise £250,000 for specialist treatment in New York, which could save his life.
Calum's parents are almost halfway through their fundraising target, having raised more than £120,000.

St Andrews Boxing Club are hoping for a sell-out evening at the boxing event at the Radisson Blu Glasgow on Thursday 8 June, where the robe will be sold to the highest bidder.
The red and black glitzy robe was worn by the former world champion when entering the ring to fight Lee Selby in 2019 - and it is the only one remaining in Burns' possession.
'It's a big deal for me'
Ricky said: "It's the St Andrews boxing show on Thursday, and I'm attending that and I'm really looking forward to that.
"I've been asked if there's anything I can donate and it's for a great cause, so fingers crossed we can raise a lot of money on the night.
"It's one of my fight jackets that I wore when I fought against Lee Selby.
"Anyone that knows me knows that as soon as a fight date is announced, my first protocol is what I'm wearing and getting my kit all designed - this jacket was a big deal for me so hopefully we can raise some good money with it.
"All the world title fights I did, I would give my robe to my pals or whoever carried the belt into the ring.
"The fight with Lee Selby was the only one I've done that I've kept the jacket - so for me it's a big deal."
