Two in court charged in connection with attempted murder in Rutherglen

Two men have appeared in court charged with trying to kill a man outside a vets'.

Thomas Guthrie, 26, and Darren Owen, 21, are accused of attacking Scott Bennett, 40, on December 3 2018.

The incident is said to have happened at a car park at Taylors Veterinary Practice in Rutherglen.

Guthrie and Owen made no plea during separate hearings today at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

The pair were remanded in custody and are expected to return to the dock again next week.

A third person is due to appear in court tomorrow in connection with the case.
