Scottish schools and nurseries expected to close by the end of the week

The First Minister says she cannot promise they will re-open before the summer

Nicola Sturgeon gave a press briefing on the impact of the coronavirus outbreak in Scotland.

She also confirmed the death of a third person here from COVID-19.

The First Minister says school and nursery closures are inevitable and she expects them to shut to pupils on Friday.

Schools have now lost too many staff to continue as normal, she said.
