Five figure sum stolen from flat in east end of Glasgow

It happened at around 11.15pm on Tuesday night.

An investigation's underway after a five figure sum of money was stolen from a flat in the east end of Glasgow.

Police were called to an address in Springboig Avenue in the Springboig area at around 11.15pm on Tuesday 15th October after two men entered a flat and made off with a five figure sum.

Both men are described as white and of a thin build with local accents. One suspect is 6ft with frizzy hair and a red beard.

The other suspect is 5ft 8ins and was wearing a dark coloured top with a zipped front and a navy NYC baseball cap. He was also carrying a white plastic bag.

Police Constable Mhairi Gunn said: "The householder was left extremely shaken by this incident and officers are working to establish the circumstances leading up to the robbery.

"If anyone has any information relating to this, or saw anyone matching the descriptions, either before or after the incident, they should contact us.

"Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 4395 of 15 October, or contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
