2 hurt in fire at Knightswood tower block

2 people have been taken to hospital following a fire in tower block in Knightswood.
It broke out in a 5th floor flat at Cheviot Court in Kirkton Avenue at quarter past six.
A spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire in a multi-storey flat in Kirkton Road, Glasgow.
"Operations Control immediately mobilised four fire appliances to the fifth floor flat after the alarm was raised at 6.17am on Thursday, January 25.
"Firefighters extinguished the fire using powerful water jets.
"Two casualties were treated on scene by Scottish Ambulance Personnel and thereafter transferred to hospital.
"Crews are ventilating the property and ensuring the area is made safe.
